The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC), a grassroots advocacy organization, launched Breast Cancer Deadline 2020®, with a goal of knowing how to end breast cancer by January 1, 2020. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer-Chief of Staff and the President, the Director of Research Collaborations provides leadership and scientific oversight for all NBCC Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® science programs, including but not limited to summits, workshops, Artemis Project® collaborations, research grants, reports, and clinical trials partnerships. This person provides leadership and technical support to other Senior Staff in support of the Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® science programs. This position manages and facilitates advocate participation in projects and collaborations; creates presentations that effectively communicate key project findings and recommendations to various audiences; and conducts, as required, research, data gathering, analysis and crafts policy recommendations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
The Director of Research Collaborations must have at least 10 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree in science, proven experience in managing projects against tight timelines, background in medical science, health policy, or related field, strong commitment to breast cancer advocacy, significant experience in nonprofit organizations, strong writing and presentation skills and willingness to travel.Email cover letter with resume and salary requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Director, Research Collaborations” in the subject line.
