Ira has more than a decade of nonprofit executive experience, previously focused on the arts and education. Most recently, he was Managing Director at Round House Theatre, a nonprofit professional theatre with two theatre facilities and an education and outreach center, all located just outside the nation's capital. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Producing Artistic Director, the management team and staff, he managed a $5 million budget, 40 permanent staff members, the multiple facilities, and the strategic planning and operations of the organization. In addition, he has served as a grants panelist for the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, a board member of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington, and a member of the Advisory Board for the Silver Spring Arts and Entertainment District. Mr. Hillman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Science in Economics; he remains actively involved with various Penn alumni constituent groups.
