Sharon Ford Watkins has more than 18 years of experience in the health care field. Her professional experience includes grassroots advocacy work with statewide and local groups to develop organizational action around a variety of health and other public policy issues. Previously, she spent 10 years with the federal government, primarily serving in intergovernmental liaison capacities where she worked with federal, state and local officials to develop and implement policy initiatives, legislative proposals and various programs. Ms. Ford Watkins received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Her studies also include a National Institute of Mental Health Fellowship Program that specialized in drug and alcohol addiction training.
