Washington, D.C., June 1, 2011—Tonight the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) will take home an EXCEL Award recognizing the cutting-edge innovation and excellence demonstrated in its September 2010 website redesign, which launched BreastCancerDeadline2020.org. NBCC’s Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® is a strategic plan of action that calls for the end of breast cancer by January 1, 2020.
The award to NBCC, made by the Association Media and Publishing as part of its 31st Annual EXCEL Awards, follows a competitive selection process from more than 1,100 entries. Winners were chosen for displaying exemplary work in editorial, design, advertising and marketing, online publishing, mobile applications, digital editions and electronic newsletter categories. NBCC won the Bronze award in its category, Website Redesign.
