Each year, NBCC's Annual Washington Lobby Day grows bigger and more impactful as hundreds of breast cancer activists pack the halls of Congress on a single day with a shared sense of urgency and unity of purpose as they advocate to their Congressional members for an end to breast cancer.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition mobilizes its grassroots to spend an entire day in May on Capitol Hill participating in more than 400 meetings with members of Congress and their staff.

Activists from nearly every state and the District of Columbia present, discuss and then press their Senators and Representatives to support and become advocates for the NBCC legislative and public policy agenda. International participants accompany delegations to study and observe our democracy in action through NBCC's brand of advocacy.

Lobby Day is preceded by NBCC's Annual Advocate Summit during which sessions are held to help participants prepare for their meetings with Senators and Representatives. Advocates receive detailed briefings on the Coalition's current public policy agenda.

Lobby Day culminates with a Congressional Awards Reception where members of Congress are recognized and thanked by NBCC and grassroots advocates for their outstanding leadership in the fight to end breast cancer.
