National Breast Cancer Coalition

Action Alert: Call your representative today!

We need our advocates flooding House member offices with calls this week telling them to vote no on the bill that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA)!

Background: The Republican bill to repeal and replace the ACA—the American Health Care Act (AHCA), would cause 24 million Americans to lose coverage over the next 10 years, would mean coverage would be less affordable and less comprehensive and it would shift billions of dollars in costs to the states. Changes made to the AHCA just last evening make the bill even worse for low-income consumers and better for the richest by speeding up tax cuts for the wealthy. The bill will go to the House floor to be voted on by every member of the House of Representatives on Thursday, March 23rd!

Action Needed: We need you to call your Representative today, tomorrow and Thursday (March 21, 22, & 23) and deliver the following message each day: I urge you to vote against the American Health Care Act. This bill will make consumers pay more and get less in their coverage than we do now under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The health care of over 20 million people is at stake, including millions of women and men with and at risk of breast cancer. VOTE NO on AHCA!
