Remain Active and Vigilant--Call These Senators

Yesterday was a good day for all of us working to save the ACA. But our fight is not over and we must remain active and vigilant.

Following Senators Moran (KS) and Lee (UT) public announcement of their opposition to the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) late Monday, Senate Majority Leader McConnell announced that he would hold a procedural vote next week on health care, with the goal of taking up 2015 legislation to repeal the health care law (that bill was vetoed by President Barack Obama).  The 2015 plan was scored by CBO and found it would take coverage away from a whopping 32 million, harming even more people than BCRA. Republican Senators Susan Collins (ME), Shelley Moore Capito (WV) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) quickly announced they would oppose it—meaning the bill would not pass since Republicans can lose no more than two votes. In addition, yesterday, a bipartisan group of 11 Governors released this statement rejecting this repeal effort.

Our job for the next 3 days is to continue to calling these 3 Senators and the other Republicans listed below DAILY until the vote happens and urge them to vote NO! Tell them DO NOT REPEAL THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT! Lives depend on it and women and men with, and at risk of, breast cancer are watching.
