  • Contribute to changing research, health care delivery systems and public policy.
  • Create a world free of breast cancer.

These are some of the Emerging Leaders (EL) Programs currently available.  New opportunities are being developed on an ongoing basis.

NBCC’s EL Community is for you if you are a young adult who is already are well-versed in NBCC’s evidence-based approach to science and research and have participated in an NBCC training and/or advocacy event.  Committed to NBCC’s goals and priorities these young adult leaders connect with one another through a dedicated Facebook group and encourage new emerging leaders to join NBCC’s activism.

NBCC’s EL College Initiative enables students to integrate academic credit, course studies and the hands-on experience of attending NBCC’s Advocacy Training Conference and Lobby Day.

NBCC EL Ambassadors participate in NBCC national training events and bring information back to their campuses and communities.  Gaining valuable experience in lobbying, fundraising and organizing the student serves as a liaison with the national organization.

Among the many goals of NBCC, is to introduce and welcome emerging leaders into the programs, advocacy and learning opportunities offered by NBCC.  Several emerging leaders have participated in the Center for Advocacy Training programs such as Project LEAD courses and Team Leader Training.

For Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® to succeed, activists of all ages must play a role.  NBCC’s Emerging Leaders are doing their part.
